DAPCU Dimapur (Nagaland) Response to the Theme : DAPCU Led Single Window Model

Describe efforts taken or Planned by DAPCU to increase the number of people availing Social  Benefit Schemes in your district in FY 2016-17.

The DAPCU Led Single Window Model is a one-point access for PLHIVs, CABA and MARPs for availing benefits from existing government social benefit schemes.

In Dimapur district, 32 out of 33 NACP facilities have been oriented on the single window model. DAPCU has set up Help Desks at 25 NACP facilities. A nodal officer has been designated at each Help Desk for providing information about social benefit schemes and assisting clients to avail the schemes.

DAPCU obtained permission from the District Collector to orient all the line departments during one of the meetings organised by the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB). Staff of the Social Welfare Department were also given an orientation by DAPCU on the single window model.

Through the efforts made by DAPCU Dimapur, 200 PLHIVs have been given insecticidal mosquito nets by the National Vector Borne Disease Control Program (NVBDCP). Nutritional support has been provided to seven CLHIVs and 12 affected children through the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS). DAPCU has submitted 106 applications to the Department of Food and Civil Supplies for issuance of Priority Card, which would offer subsidised ration to beneficiaries.
