DAPCU Kozhikode (Kerala) Response to the Theme : DAPCU Led Single Window Model


Describe efforts taken or Planned by DAPCU to increase the number of people availing Social  Benefit Schemes in your district in FY 2016-17.

In relation with the DLSW, the following benefits were made available along with existing schemes and benefits, through the trained (2 orientation trainings for stakeholders and 3 sensitizations among beneficiaries) help desks. Frequent Reviews in all meetings and visits by DAPCU, helped to fetch maximum benefits to the deserving. Also the supply of printed application form to the facilities was useful.

Besides to these some other one time helps were organised such as, Corporation Councillor arranged program for PLHIV (dress, food kits) 145 CABA, Self-Employment by ‘Jeevana’ for widows 30 applied, Lions Club – Children’s program with food kit 22 kids, Santhi Palliative AIDS Day program with Rs.1500/- worth food and dress package: 149 families, Onam, Eid programs resourced from various agencies and provided dress, food etc 149 families and so forth.
