DAPCU North East (Delhi) Response to the Theme : DAPCU Led Single Window Model

Describe efforts taken or Planned by DAPCU to increase the number of people availing Social  Benefit Schemes in your district in FY 2016-17.

Efforts taken by DAPCU North East District Delhi:

• Variety of documents such as income certificate, caste certificate are required to avail benefit of various Social Benefit Schemes. As the DAPCU Office is located in DC office premises, DAPCU Staff provide support and guidance to PLHIVs & HRGs in availing these documents from DM Office when needed.
• Collect the details & application forms of various Social Benefit Schemes from respective departments and disseminated the same after explaining the various schemes to the Helpdesks and Helpdesk visit ARTC to make PLHIVs aware of these schemes and also enroll PLHIVs for the schemes they are eligible for.
• Designate a particular staff as Nodal Person at all Help Desks and orient her/ him about DAPCU Led Single Window Model & various SBS provided by different departments of Central & State Governments.

Efforts planned by DAPCU North East District Delhi for 2016-17:

• Re-orientation of Help Desk staff about DAPCU Led Single Window Model & various existing & new Social Benefit Schemes on Regular Basis.
• Need Assessment (at Help Desk Level) of the PLHIVs & their kin regarding requirement & eligibility for SBS.
• Regular meetings with the different government departments especially social welfare department to know about new scheme.
• Sensitization of staff of different government departments so that PLHIVs can avail the benefits of the Schemes without stigma & discrimination.
